During my internship at Phantom Productions, I designed and animated a series of concept posters for the Ottawa Blackbears. These were developed internally to explore visual directions for the team’s branding and promotions. The designs were not released publicly and remain concept pieces.

The goal of this project was to showcase what Phantom Productions could achieve for the Ottawa Blackbears with more time for creative development than is typically available in the fast-paced sports industry. I explored dynamic typography, bold imagery, and flexible layouts that could elevate the team’s branding across print and social platforms.
designing for sports
The posters were designed in Photoshop and then animated in After Effects. Careful layer organization was maintained to prepare the files for animation, allowing for seamless transitions and dynamic motion later on. Research into the Ottawa Blackbears’ branding and presence informed the colour choices, typography, and imagery to ensure the concepts felt authentic to the team while pushing their visual identity forward.
